Donald Patriquin Sings In The Key Of Stanford Who’s Who
EASTMAN, QC, CANADA, January 17, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ -- Donald Patriquin has been accepted into the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who’s Who as a result of his magnificent work in the music industry. Throughout his brilliant professional career, Mr. Patriquin has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the elite.
Donald is an internationally recognized music composer who has been writing musical pieces since the young age of 11. His sensational catalogue of choral works include a Caribbean Mass based on Caribbean traditions and instruments; Reflections on Walden Pond, commissioned by Pennsylvania's Cantate Carlisle; and Psalms & Canticles of Prayer, Praise and Peace, a major work commissioned by the Missouri chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Donald’s Antiphon and the Child of Mary was awarded first prize in the New York's Melodious Accord Biennial Composition Search for New Choral Music.
In addition to his choral works, Mr. Patriquin has also composed several instrumental works, liturgical settings, a piano concerto, works for voice and piano, and music for theatre, ballet and mixed media. Overall, he is a composer, performer, teacher, accompanist, organist and conductor. Donald's music is featured on numerous CD’s and is frequently heard on radio.
During his collegiate career, Donald earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Music from the University of Toronto. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Diploma in Education from Bishop University. He is a member of the Canadian Music Centre, Canadian League of Composers, SOCAN and the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors.
