Kane Company Announces Major Staff Restructuring
Washington, United States (IBwire.com - December 20, 2012)
The Kane Company announced a major restructuring of executive staff positions and responsibilities to be effective January 1st, 2013. According to John M. Kane, Chairman & CEO of the Kane Company, the changes were necessitated by the growth of office-related services offered by the Kane Company and the need to consolidate and streamline decision-making responsibilities. The Kane Company recently introduced two new business lines: Kane Hospital Relocation Services, LLC. and Kane Home Moving & Storage, LLC.
“There was a need to restructure and streamline for clearer lines of communication within the Kane Company as well as between our company and our clients. The changes have allowed us to increase emphasis on specific lines of service including our newly introduced business units,” stated John Kane.
In addition to the executive staff changes, Kane Company has bundled three related business units: Office Shredding, LLC, Office Archives, LLC and eCyclers, LLC under the name “Kane Information Security.” According to James H. Durfee, newly appointed president of these divisions, “All three of these businesses are directly involved with the protection of a company’s vital business information. It was logical we combine the three under one management group.”
The staffing changes announced include the following:
Ron Meliker (currently Exec. VP/COO of the Kane Company) will become President of The Kane Company.
David Korotkin (currently Exec. VP/CFO of the Kane Company) will become EVP & CFO of the Kane Company.
James H. Durfee (currently Sr. VP and General Manager for Office Archives, LLC; Office Shredding, LLC; and eCyclers, LLC) will become President of all three entities. In addition, Jim will continue to be responsible for Kane Marketing and Kane Business Development.
Gary Corbett (currently VP and General Manager for Office Movers, Inc.’s Springfield, VA office) will become the President of Office Movers, Inc.
Ron Granville (currently VP and General Manager for Kane 3PL Third-Party Logistics, which includes Kane Hospitality, LLC, Kane Distribution, LLC and Kane Freight Management, LLC) will become President of Kane 3PL.
Tim Raver (formerly VP and General Manager for Sterling Moving & Storage) has joined the Kane Company as the General Manager of the company’s newest division: Kane Home Moving & Storage, LLC.
